Hotel Accommodation
Accommodations have been reserved for delegates and exhibitors in a range of hotel at preferential rates during the conference period. The majority of the hotels are located within approximately 20–30 minutes or less walking distance to the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
Hotel room descriptions
Single room (SGL): A single occupancy room with one bed.
Double room (DBL): A double occupancy room with one bed.
Twin room (TWN): A double occupancy room with two beds.
All hotels offer rooms with private bath/shower/WC, telephone, radio, TV, breakfast facilities. Most hotels also have Internet access in the rooms.
Important information
- Room availability is guaranteed by the IAS 2009 Accommodation Department until 19 June 2009. Late bookings can be made after 19 June 2009 but are subject to availability. A handling fee of EUR 30 will charged to all late bookings.
- All indicated prices are per room/night including breakfast, service and taxes. Rates may increase without notice due to changes in government charges, taxes or levies.
- When making your hotel booking you are required to pay a deposit of EUR 200.00. If the total cost of your stay is less than the requested deposit of EUR 200, you will only be charged the total cost. In case of cancellation until 19 June 2009, the deposit will be refunded less a handling fee of EUR 60. If you cancel your booking after 19 June 2009, the deposit will NOT be refunded.
- The IAS 2009 Accommodation Department reserves the right to book another hotel in the same category should the requested hotel be fully booked
Change of bookings
Any change to a reservation must be notified to IAS 2009 Accommodation Department in writing and not directly to the hotel. Changes made after 19 June 2009 are subject to a handling fee of EUR 30.
Early check out or no show
Should you check out before the confirmed departure date or in case of no-show, the hotel reserves the right to charge you for all nights confirmed.
Arrival time
Hotel check-in time is usually at 15:00 hours. If you are to arrive before this time, it is probable that you will not be able to gain access to your room. To guarantee a room to be available for an early arrival you will need to pre-register and pay for your room for the previous night. If required, indicate this on the accommodation booking form.
