The Media and International Scholarship Programmes are an integral part of the conference and provide full and partial scholarships to eligible, highly-evaluated applicants. The aim of the programmes is to bring to the conference individuals who are most able to transfer the skills and knowledge acquired there to the work they undertake in their own organizations and communities.
Competition for scholarships for the 5th IAS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention has been high. More than 2,000 scholarship applications were received and approximately 200 scholarships will be awarded. .
Scholarship applications are now closed.
All scholarship applicants have been notified of their application status. Statistics regarding scholarship awardees will be posted here after the conference.
Types of Support
Abstract presenters, media representatives and delegates were able to request a full or partial scholarship.
A full scholarship includes:
- registration to the conference;
- economy-class return airfare;
- shared accommodation in a budget hotel;
- modest daily allowance.
A partial scholarship includes any combination of the above.
